Digital inclusion through responsible IT

Retire IT securely.

Help pupils get connected.

Level IT uses a proportion of the value recovered from securely processed redundant technology to provide professionally refurbished laptops to pupils facing digital poverty.
Secure Data Handling
Certified processing with a clear audit trail.
Value Put To Work
Social value created through existing IT asset disposal activity.
Clear Reporting

What Level IT is

Make more of your redundant technology.

Every organisation needs a secure route for its redundant IT. Level IT allows that same process to create social value.
Blackmore UK securely sanitises and processes a wide range of redundant IT assets, including PCs, laptops, tablets, servers and mobile phones. An agreed proportion of the value recovered is recorded for the participating organisation within its Level IT Social Pool and used to provide professionally refurbished laptops to pupils facing digital poverty.
A participating primary school identifies pupils who do not have suitable access to a device at home and distributes the laptops directly to them. The school is the trusted route for identifying need, managing consent and safeguarding, and allocating each device.
How Level IT works

From redundant IT to refurbished laptops for pupils.

A clear process that protects data, pupil privacy and safeguarding at every stage.
Secure IT processing
Blackmore UK collects and processes the redundant assets, securely sanitises the data and provides the appropriate audit trail and certification.
Value recovered
An agreed proportion of the recovered value is recorded for the participating organisation within its Level IT Social Pool.
Laptops provided
Value recovered from servers, desktops, phones, networking equipment and other assets can fund professionally refurbished laptops selected for pupils’ needs.
Pupils supported
The chosen primary school identifies pupils who need suitable access to technology at home and allocates the laptops through its existing safeguarding procedures.
Impact where it matters

Helping pupils access the technology they need.

Participating organisations can choose a primary school, local area or community whose pupils they would like to support. If there is no geographic preference, laptops can be directed where the need is greatest.

Privacy and safeguarding

Clear reporting. Pupil privacy protected.

The Level IT initiative reports the number of laptops provided and pupils supported without sharing personal details.
Schools remain responsible for identifying pupils, managing consent and safeguarding, and allocating the laptops. Neither Blackmore UK nor the participating organisation receives pupils’ names or other personal information.
Safeguarding remains with the school

Schools identify the pupils who need a device, manage parental consent and distribute each laptop.

Personal details are protected

Pupils’ names and personal information are not shared with Blackmore UK or participating organisations.

Support is measured

The number of laptops provided and pupils supported is recorded.

Organisations receive clear reporting
