How Secure IT Disposal Enables Reuse
Secure IT asset disposal is not just about destroying data or recycling equipment. Appropriate data sanitisation enables suitable laptops, desktops, servers and other equipment to be refurbished and returned to use without retaining the previous owner’s information.
We assess the appropriate route for each asset, taking account of security requirements, its condition and reuse potential. Reusable equipment can be refurbished for reuse to recover value.
Equipment that cannot be safely or practically reused is directed to responsible recycling as the final option. Throughout the process, the organisation needs clear records of how its assets and data have been handled.

Every asset is accounted for, securely processed and documented.
Collection and asset Recording
We arrange collection of redundant IT equipment and record assets in accordance with the agreed scope and collection procedures, creating accountability from the start of the service.
Secure Logistics and Chain of Custody
Your IT equipment is securely collected and transported in our own fleet of GPS-tracked vehicles to our dedicated processing facility. From the point of collection, assets are electronically recorded and tracked through our secure processing procedures, providing a documented chain of custody and a clear, auditable record of how your equipment is handled.
Appropriate data sanitisation or destruction
Data-bearing equipment is assessed for the appropriate security treatment. Where suitable, data is securely sanitised and the results verified so devices may be considered for reuse. Where sanitisation is unsuitable or physical destruction is required, the relevant components are securely destroyed.
Certification, reporting and responsible recycling
We provide the applicable processing certificates, asset records and waste documentation for the agreed service. Equipment unsuitable for reuse is handled through responsible recycling routes.
Refurbishment and value recovery
Once data has been securely sanitised, suitable IT assets are refurbished and prepared for reuse, extending their lifespan and recovering value for your organisation. This helps reduce electronic waste and offset IT disposal costs, while offering the opportunity to create additional social value through our Level IT initiative.

Through Level IT, our clients can turn the value in redundant technology into opportunities for pupils experiencing digital poverty. After secure processing and value recovery, an agreed proportion of the recovered value is recorded in the participating organisation’s Level IT Social Pool.
The Social Pool is used to provide professionally refurbished laptops to pupils who need access to suitable technology for learning. This allows organisations to generate tangible social value through their existing IT disposal activity while retaining the security, reporting and reuse benefits of a professional ITAD service.
